Al B. Sure! Shares His Cease-And-Desist Order For ‘KIM’S LOST WORDS’

On Sunday, September 29, Sure took to Instagram to a reel featuring screenshots of his cease-and-desist order with his more than 21,000 followers. The video seemingly revealed that the order originated on Thursday, September 26.

Additionally, the singer’s caption revealed that he is demanding a retraction and a “widely circulated” apology for the memoir. According to Sure, the “fabricated” novel, which was published by Mr. Todd Christopher Guzze and distributed through Amazon, has defamed him.

“…Demand for Retraction and Apology – Defamation of Al B. Sure! (Albert Joseph Brown III) by Mr. Todd Christopher Guzze (also known as Chris Todd and Jamal T. Millwood), and Amazon for Recklessly Distributing a Fabricated Book without Conducting Even Minimal Investigation into Its Legitimacy or the Background of Its Publisher,” Sure’s caption states.

Furthermore, Sure’s caption asserts that he is also demanding compensatory and punitive damages from Guzze and Amazon.

More Details On The Singer’s Legal Action

On Friday, September 27, Page Six published an exclusive report revealing more details about Sure’s cease-and-desist. Per the outlet and Sure’s screenshots, the novel allegedly falsely asserts that the singer “engaged in… sexual conduct with Sean Combs.”

“By representing his personal life and fabricating serious, false accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior, these defamatory claims have caused significant damage to Mr. Brown [Al B. Sure’s] reputation,” the first page of the order reads.

Additionally, the singer is requesting that Guzze and Amazon stop selling the memoir within ten days of the order’s issuance.

“Should you fail to comply with these demands within ten days, we will have no alternative but to pursue all legal remedies available, including filing a lawsuit for defamation,” the order adds.

According to the outlet, Sure directly reacted to the book’s claim regarding him and Combs with a brief statement.

“The part with me, I have nothing to do with any activity of that nature. It’s the most disgusting, heinous lie I have ever heard of in my life,” he said.

Kim Porter’s Children Recently Addressed The Memoir

As The Shade Room previously reported, Porter’s son, Quincy Brown, whom she shares with Sure, and her fellow children, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila Combs, whom she shares with Diddy, recently reacted to the memoir.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” their statement read in part.

Furthermore, Guzze recently spoke to Rolling Stone about Porter’s alleged memoir. At the time, he appeared indirect in his response to the novel’s validity.

“If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me. Sometimes, you have to just put it out there. Maybe not 100% of the book is true, but maybe 80% is,” he said at the time.

As of Monday, September 30, ‘KIM’S LOST WORDS’ remains available for purchase on Amazon.
