Keeping up with all the new music dropping left and right can be challenging. With #TSRTunez, The Shade Room aims to share our batch of some of the best music releases available each week. From Hip Hop, R&B, to afro beats and more, we are spotlighting your favs and introducing you to new bops to add to your playlist.
In this week’s notable drops, Offset released his highly anticipated project Set It Off, along with the release of Westside Gunn‘s And Then You Pray For Me and Bad Bunny‘s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist share new connected songs, From a Man and From a Woman.
DaBaby, Ice Spice, and Lil Durk also make the list with their latest projects and singles.
Offset, Set It Off
Four years following the release of his debut album, Offset is back with his sophomore project, Set it Off. The 21-track project features artists such as Latto, Chloe Bailey, Future, and more.
DaBaby, Let’s Do It
Fresh off the BET hip hop awards stage (Oct. 10), DaBaby dropped a new 3-track mixtape, ‘Let’s Do It.’ The featureless project includes titles like “Crash The Jeep” and “FINSTA” and is his second project release this year.
Westside Gunn, And Then You Pray For Me
On And Then You Pray For Me, Westside Gunn delivers a 21-track project that features contributions from rap heavy hitters like Rick Ross, Jeezy, EST Gee, and more. The Griselda member shared that the late Virgil Abloh designed the album artwork. Additionally, Westside Gunn mentioned this project would be his final studio album. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t rap again.
“I’m not saying I won’t come with a five-song EP with Madlib or I won’t do a seven-song EP with Alchemist or I won’t rap,” the rapper shared with Rolling Stone. “I’ll do all of that, but making a studio album, I’m done with all that. It’s back to dumping until I don’t want to dump no more. I’m going to have fun now. It’s no more pressure.”
