Details About Wendy Williams’ Health
For context, the Guardian’s update about Wendy is a part of her legal fight with A&E Networks over the docu about Williams. Sun reports that the filing says the 60-year-old has “been afflicted by early onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”
Earlier this year, the 60-year-old revealed that doctors diagnosed her with aphasia and dementia. This came ahead of the documentary’s release. The statement addressed the years-long speculations about Wendy’s health, especially with episodes like losing her words. She first underwent tests in 2023, and decided to share her health status only to correct incorrect information.
“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement said.
At the time, Wendy Williams’ guardian shared that the TV host was able to still “do many things for herself” and had her “trademark sense of humor.” Now, it’s unclear to what extent her health has diminished and whether her family has been tapped for involvement. Wendy’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr., has been vocal about his stance against Sabrina being his mother’s guardian.

Guardian Wants Privacy For TV Host
Additionally, in the new filing, Sabrina Morrissey’s attorneys have asked the court to consider redacting information about the entertainer. That information includes “health, familial relationships, and finances” details in the case. The guardian is reportedly seeking to protect Wendy Williams’ privacy for the same reason as her A&E lawsuit.
The Guardian first filed a restraining order against the network in February to stop the ‘Where Is Wendy Williams?’ documentary from airing. Then, in September, she filed an amended petition naming A&E TV Networks, Entertainment One Reality Productions, Lifetime Entertainment Services, Creature Films, and the doc’s director, Mark Ford. In October, the lawsuit was moved to federal court. Since then, all the defendants have filed countersuits, per The Daily Mail.
