Photos Show Wendy Williams At Her Son’s Graduation Weeks After Guardian Claims She’s “Permanently Incapacitated”

Wendy Williams was a present and proud mama at her one-and-only son’s graduation. The daytime TV mogul visited Florida International University for Kevin Hunter Jr.‘s ceremony. These new photos and videos of Wendy come just weeks after her guardian claimed her health was worsening.

Here’s A Recap Of Wendy Williams At Her Son’s Graduation

Kevin Hunter Jr.’s ceremony took place on Thursday, December 19. Photos show the mother of one climbing into and using a self-driven red scooter.

Additionally, she was styled like the Wendy Williams we know her to be, from a sparkly dark-colored dress to Chanel shoes and large hand accessories. Additionally, her hair was brown and straightened with her usual bangs. It appeared that a white, unknown man accompanied her to the event as he’s seen in several photos. 

Inside the ceremony, she sat in the audience next to her father, Thomas Williams Sr., and her sister, Wanda Finnie, per the New York Post. 

In several images, Wendy is clasping her hands together and has her chin resting on them, seemingly with emotion.

On the stage, her 24-year-old crossed the stage and shook the hands of school officials with a huge smile! 

What About The TV Host’s Health? 

In August, Wendy Williams and her son went viral over a photo of them shopping in a holistic store in New Jersey. At the time, the TV host was all smiles with Dr. Sebi’s son Victor Bowman. An employee later told Page Six that Wendy was “sharp, upbeat, and aware.”

However, days before Thanksgiving, Wendy’s court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, submitted a legal filing claiming she was permanently incapacitated. The update was part of her ongoing lawsuit against A&E Networks over the documentary about her career and health released earlier this year.

Sabrina’s filing reportedly said 60-year-old Williams had “been afflicted by early onset dementia and, as a result, had become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”

It’s unclear whether Wendy Williams’ health improved or whether the update in the legal filing was accurate. At this time, neither the family nor Sabrina has addressed Wendy’s health and movement in the graduation ceremony photos. As mentioned, though, the pictures seem to imply that Wendy has the ability to stand, navigate a moving scooter alone, and walk—at least short distances.

Video Shows Wendy Spending Time With Family & Outside!

After Wendy’s photos at her son’s graduation went viral, a host on the ‘We In Miami’ podcast shared a video of her. The clip was reportedly filmed this week. In the footage, Wendy is seated at a table talking to her nephew as he analyzes a holiday gift she got him. The host revealed that Wendy had gotten gifts for the entire family and repeatedly emphasized that Williams was herself the entire time.

“As you can see, she sounds really good. She was mentally very sharp; I didn’t see any signs of mental decline. I had several conversations with Wendy. She was cracking jokes; she made everybody laugh. It was WEndy that we all know and love,” the podcast host said, adding that she appeared to be in good physical shape too.

Additionally, the host revealed that Wendy’s family “pampered” her with a mani-pedi day and a private chef. Despite having her scooter, the host said Wendy Williams was able to stand up and walk around. She also spent time OUTSIDE with her loved ones, and allegedly tore up some Jamaican food on an outing. “I think she really needs to be with her family,” he said.
