Trump Continues To Dismiss Second Debate With VP Harris
On Saturday, (Sept. 21), Donald Trump addressed a crowd at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina. He expressed his interest in debating Vice President Kamala Harris again but said he believes it’s simply “too late.”
Donnie continued to dismiss the idea, claiming that voters out and eager to move forward.
“It’s too late. The voting is cast. The voters are out there!” Trump said in a clip obtained by TSR.
Trump then asked the crowd, “Is everybody getting out to vote?” and urged them, “please get out and vote.”
VP Harris Agrees To Take On Trump In Second Debate
Donald Trump’s latest remarks arrived after VP Harris’ campaign accepted an invitation to a second debate with him.
VP Harris addressed the idea in response to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins.
“I will gladly accept a second presidential debate on October 23. I hope @realDonaldTrump will join me,” VP Harris wrote.
NBC News reports that Harris’ campaign chair, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, emphasized in a statement that the American people deserve another chance to see both candidates before voting.
Dillon also mentioned that Trump should be open to participating since the debate would follow the same format as their first on ABC, which aired on September 10.
“Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate. It is the same format and setup as the CNN debate he attended and said he won in June, when he praised CNN’s moderators, rules, and ratings, Dillon stated.

Trump Ducks Smoke With VP Harris
Trump’s dismissal of a second debate at his Wilmington rally marks another occasion where he has denied the request.
Previously, TSR reported that just hours after their first debate on September 10, Harris called for a rematch with the Republican nominee. Trump quickly responded to the challenge, telling ABC he’d need time to consider it.
“Well, I don’t know, I have to [think] about it, but if you won the debate, I sort of think maybe I shouldn’t do it. Why should I do another debate? She immediately said, We want another. That, you know, what happens when you lose you immediately want to do a rematch. They want another debate because they [lost],” Trump explained.
The politician kept the shade going on Truth Social, clapping back at Harris’ request again.
“In the World of Boxing or UFC, when a Fighter gets beaten or knocked out, they get up and scream, ‘I DEMAND A REMATCH, I DEMAND A REMATCH!’ Well, it’s no different with a Debate. She was beaten badly last night. Every Poll has us WINNING, in one case, 92-8, so why would I do a Rematch?”
