More Details On Prince Lobel Tye LLP’s Reported Lawsuit Against The Rapper
According to court documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop, Prince Lobel Tye LLP filed the suit against the rapper on Tuesday, September 24. The lawsuit reportedly accuses the rapper of “breach of contract” and “unjust enrichment.”
Additionally, the firm is alleging that Herbo stopped paying the company “roughly two weeks” before he was sentenced. To note, the rapper’s real name is Herbert Wright III.
“Mr. Wright has not paid and owes Prince Lobel $237,582.67 for legal work and services performed by the firm on his behalf,” the lawyers reportedly asserted, per AllHipHop. “This amount includes interest in the amount of $26,542.85. The last payment made by Mr. Wright was on December 29, 2023.”
Furthermore, the lawsuit reportedly asserts that the rapper accepted the firm’s service “with knowledge of Prince Lobel’s reasonable expectation of payment.”
“…It would be unjust for Mr. Wright to enjoy the benefits of Prince Lobel’s services without paying for them,” the suit reportedly adds. “As a result of Mr. Wright’s failure and refusal to pay for the legal work performed by Prince Lobel but accepting the fruits of that work, Mr. Wright has been unjustly enriched, and Prince Lobel has suffered harm.”
G Herbo Speaks Out In Reaction To The Law Firm’s Suit
On Thursday, September 26, the rapper shared an exclusive statement with The Shade Room in reaction to the lawsuit.
“I feel like I’m only dealing with this because I’m a celebrity. What they left out is that I’ve already paid them almost $1 million. Yes, I still owe $237,000, and I take accountability for that, even though I feel like they overcharged me because of who I am,” the rapper explained. “They also didn’t inform me that the big banks would refuse to bank me regardless of how much I had in the account. That is just one of the many challenges I’ve faced since the case ended; I’ve needed to change my team and needed time to restructure. Still, I appreciate everything they did for me and hope they have patience while I rebuild my business.”

Here’s How The Rapper’s 2020 Wire Fraud Case Came To A Close
As The Shade Room previously reported, G Herbo was accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Additionally, he was accused of making false statements to authorities in an indictment that was reportedly publicized in 2020.
Per Fox 32 Chicago, the rapper allegedly utilized “stolen credit card information” to fund “an opulent lifestyle including private jets and designer puppies.”
“On social media, Mr. Wright boasted an extravagant lifestyle. He gave the impression that his use of private jets, luxury cars, and tropical villas were the legitimate fruits of his booming rap career as ‘G Herbo,'” prosecutors reportedly asserted per the outlet. “However, his lavish lifestyle was shamelessly built on deceit and fraud using stolen account information that inflicted substantial harm on numerous businesses, leaving a wake of victims burdened with financial losses.”
Ultimately, G Herbo entered a plea deal with authorities. He was reportedly sentenced to three years probation. Additionally, he was ordered to pay at least six figures in restitution.
